Labor day Weekend

The beautiful princesses were playing one day. When a bandit appeared. He stole them and locked them in a prison.
The Queen mother was soooo upset.

The princesses were very scared.

Never fear.... Froggyman is here!

Bryce & Annalee's family came up on Labor Day to play. We had a barbecue and played horse shoes and cards, but the main attraction was definitely the plays that grandma and the kids put on. Just in case you weren't sure what kind of princesses those are, they are Jasmines. I think the best play was the one where grandma was a drunk that had missionaries come teach her. What a fun day!

3 Months

Has it been that long already? Our little Logi bear is already 3 months. Wow! Time sure does fly. He is growing so fast. At his 2 month check-up he had already almost doubled his birth weight. I pulled out his 6-9 month clothes and most of them already fit him. He is such a happy little guy. He is just starting to giggle. He thinks it's funny when Matt says, "Saaaaaayyy, Dada." For some reason that's funny to him and he likes when we "get his tummy." Bathtime is his favorite time of day. He gets so excited. He is getting so cute (if it's even possible to get any cuter), and fun! He doesn't even get a chance to cry because the girls bring him to me if he even looks like he might get upset. Kass always says, "He's sooooo whiny," which is kinda ironic since she is always whiny.

Logan in his purple Bumbo that my mom had gotten for Mia. What a big boy!

Happy Baby!!!

ME

This was on Kristen's blog and I thought that it was interesting! Sometimes I get so caught up in other things that I don't ever stop and think about me. So, here's Me, more than you will ever want to know!

I am: 28 with a wonderful hubby and 3 beautiful kiddos, each wonderful in their own unique way! I am truly blessed!

I think: everything happens for a reason we may not know at the time.

I know: the secret answer to all of life's problems. Okay, maybe it's not a secret but nobody seems to be seeking Him like they should.

I want: my family to be happy.

I have: so much to be thankful for! I'm not even sure where to start.

I dislike:when people are mean or disrespectful.

I miss: Matt right now. I honestly don't think that I could ever get tired of him.

I fear: Failure!!! Which I think is why I procrastinate or take my time doing things.

I feel: blessed!!!

I hear: Logan eating.

I smell: stinky right now. I went for a 2 hour hike. It was so invigorating and beautiful, but I'm all sweaty and gross now!

I crave: butterfingers... I think it's because I can't really have them right now.

I cry: OFTEN! I am seriously a bawl baby. The older I get the more I cry. It's usually because I'm happy though!

I usually: wish I had more sleep.

I search: for the girl's shoes pretty much everyday.... and sometimes my shoes. Shhhhh... don't tell the girls I lose my shoes too!

I wonder: if angels weep when they watch us here on earth. I know sometimes I do.

I regret: never trying some things because of my fear of failure.

I love: my family, friends, nature, the smell and sound of rain, the feeling of putting a boat in the water, people, and creating art.

I don't care: for turnips

I always: am ready for an adventure.

I worry: about my family. Matt's job and the world my kids have to grow up in.

I am not: always as patient as I should be.

I remember: a lot of unimportant details of events and interesting facts (trivia) that never seemed to help much in school.

I believe: the children are the future.... sorry, that song came to mind.

I dance: to the beat of my own drum!

I sing: privately.... and to my kids! Trust me that's a good thing.

I don't always: get "Me time" like I would like.

I argue: only if it's something I believe strongly in. Otherwise it's more... debating.

I write: on my blog and I'm starting a thankful journal.

I win: because,"I'm a winner!"

I lose: when I play Annalee. She is sooooo talented, beautiful, and very lucky! Unless we just haven't figured out how she's cheating. H.. h.. h.. how you doin' that?

I wish: that everyone would just be nice and respectful to others.

I listen: to the world. I love to just sit and listen. It's amazing what you can hear.

I don't understand: how there can be so much violence in the world.

I can usually be found: at home.

I am scared: for the safety of my family. Didn't I just answer,"I fear" awhile ago?

I need:a new pair of hiking shoes.

I forget: frequently what I'm doing. I think that it's because I'm always doing too many things at a time.

I am happy: when I get to spend time with those I love! Doesn't even matter what we are doing!

Mikelle- my best helper

Mikelle has been so pleasant to be around. She is so willing to help anyone when they need it. I was digging some weeds and she came and willing helped me. I didn't have to ask and she didn't expect anything for it. Today as I was doing laundry she saw Logan in his diaper and told me that it was too cold for him to be downstairs in just his diaper. I told her that I was getting ready to give him a bath. I heard the water running and I went in the bathroom and she was giving him a bath. She had gathered everything she needed and made sure the water temperature was good. Although it makes me a little nervous for her to give him a bath all by herself I thought that it was cute that she wanted to. I had to warn her that she can't do it all by herself because he's so slippery when getting him out but she did a great job! I love my kids soooo much!

Wow!

I love the pictures that kids take. Mikelle dressed up Daisy and took this picture! I love it!

Mikelle also took this picture of Mia looking at a baby praying Mantis. Mrs. Bingham told her about the Reflections contest this year and the theme was "Wow!" So she took this picture of Mia. Mia loved this little guy so much that she cried when Mikelle left with him.

As I was sitting there thinking of the theme. I was looking at how beautiful Logan is. I love his little face so much. I love how peaceful he looks sleeping and how sweet he is and I just thought, "Wow! I am so lucky." There was a little hispanic girl at the pool swimming that either was going through chemo or has alopecia. I have seen them there before. When I see the things that some people are going through it really makes me appreciate the minor battles that I'm facing. I am truly blessed! There is a saying that says that if everyone were to put their problems in a big pile we would all pull our own out. I'm not so sure about that but I do know that the problems I have had to face have been uniquely my own and with help from my Heavenly Father I know that I can make it through anything. "Wow, I am so Lucky!"

Lagoon

Grandma and Grandpa B recently just got released from their mission. We got together with everyone for a fun trip to Lagoon. We stayed with Jamin and Karen's family. Matt, the kids and I went to Temple square on Friday and watched the Joseph Smith movie and also walked around and went to the visitor's center. Later that evening everyone met at Jamin & Karen's for a BBQ. The highlight of the BBQ was Lincoln in his Captain Underwear costume! On Saturday we met everyone at Lagoon. We ended up splitting up into groups and doing different rides, but did get together for lunch. The girls really liked the new ride "Wicked", "Odysea", and the "Jet Star." I also have to applaud Draven for overcoming his fear of the "Colossus" and riding it. Good Job! We really liked that they let us do a baby-pass-off. That way we were all able to go on the rides and we waited the same amount of time. Logan was really good but it was really hot for him. He mostly only fussed in his car seat that he really really HATES! We had so much fun but are really exhausted from our trip.

Lake Powell

We had so much fun at the lake. Logan HATES his car seat! It was the only time he cried. He really liked riding on the boat. He had a little bed up under the dashboard in the shade. Mikelle and Kassidee had a blast! They found a fish floating in the water still alive. They played with it for awhile and then tried saving it. Silly girls! Then they also caught a little lizard and found some snake meat! Mikelle wanted to take that dried up snake meat home really bad. We even have a picture of her asleep with it in her hand. She wanted to show Carsen and Cameron because it was so cool! Matt was bummed that the tube popped because he really wanted to do something but didn't dare risk hurting his leg. : ( Maybe next trip he can tear it up! It was still fun and very pretty there! I love Lake Powell!

Pioneer Day

We had a lot of fun on Pioneer day. I got up with the kids and we went to the activities at the Pine Valley chapel. It started with a program that included some songs from the band, some songs from the men's primary choir, posting of the colors, and some pioneer stories. Then we enjoyed some breakfast and got ready for the races. Matt finally got his lazy butt out of bed (I love you babe!) and joined us for the races. He actually even got some breakfast since there were leftovers. The girls were so excited that they found a picture of grandma and grandpa B in the chapel. They also remembered a geocache that's hidden there and removed some things but replaced it with something else. Mikelle got a bug repellent badge. It had such a strong smell. She said," It gets rid of bugs." Kass said," Yeah, and people too!" Logan was a good baby. He hung out in his carrier the whole time. He enjoyed the program and then slept the rest of the time. Then we had Bryce & Ann's family come over later. The kids played, we had hamburgers, and then the grown-ups played Rock Band. What a fun day!!!!!

Lake Powell pictures will be posted soon!!!!

Who needs a clip on?

Kass picked out this onesie for Logan to wear to church.
He looked so cute in it and she was really proud that he wore it!

camping out in the yard

The girls slept outside on the trampoline and now that's the only place they want to sleep.
They have their protective watch dog Daisy to keep them safe.
They are so silly!!!

We love Veyo!

Cute little Mia!

Logan in his swim gear. He's making a funny face there :)

The girls having fun! They actually played together even though most of our ward was there and there were other kids to play with. They do like each other!

Just for fun

Before and After

The gang's all here! I love how Lisa is crossing her legs. So cute!

When we decide to go in to St. George we travel in with Matt and stay the day to save on gas. We usually spend the day at my mom's house so I try to find things to keep me busy.... although having a new baby keeps me busy enough. I have been wanting to scrapbook my parents wedding pics for quite some time now. They got a new scanner so I scanned all their pics and then fixed most of them. Now to just print and play. I thought I'd share some of their pictures because I love how styles can definitely date us and it's fun to see everyone when they were younger. I'm totally digging my mom's "high heel platform open toe tennis shoes." Actually I think they may be in style again. I especially like the pics of Jeff and Alan. They look so little. ha ha ha There was also one of Julie that looks so much like Jessica.

How does your garden grow?

Mikelle and Kassi, sweet and sassy, how does your garden grow?

We planted our garden a week and a half ago (yeah, I know kinda late) and we are so excited that it is actually growing. I don't do well with plants so it's a great accomplishment. So far the corn, peas, squash, cantaloupe, watermelon, and beets are starting to come up. Mikelle wanted to plant a garden so bad. She goes out in the morning to help me water. Lately mother nature has been doing the watering for us. We have gotten lots of rain. Logan loves his outside time too in his carrier. When he's fussy we head outside and he calms down and looks around. We also love the fun things in the herb garden. Mikelle and Kass think that the mint leaves are so cool. Mikelle also made a good discovery. She came running in the house very excited because she found those onions that I use in spaghetti. Not the ones in tomato soup but the other kind that is in spaghetti. Yep, those other onions are actually garlic. She was very excited!

4th of July weekend

We had a very eventful weekend! We went to Enterprise Reservoir on Friday. The kids, even some of the bigger kids, had fun crawdad fishing. Then a few of us hiked around to the back of the lower reservoir dam. It was kind of difficult getting there but we found a geocache. Then we went to Bryce & Annalee's house and had a BBQ. Saturday was spent fixing up the yard with everyone's help. Thanks so much everyone for all your help! We had Logan blessed on Sunday. Matt did such a wonderful job! Logan was such a good boy. He was in the middle of eating when he went up and didn't even cry. Afterward we went to the picnic area in Pine Valley. I'm kinda bummed that I forgor my camera there. Annalee took some good pics and put them on her blog. My mom made a bunch of salads and we had sandwich stuff. She always does such a great job and I really appreciated all her help. Thanks mom! What a weekend!
