Where's the supervision?

This is what happens when mom and dad are both feeling kinda broken down and tired. Okay, so it happens even when we're not. I love my girls so much! They're so silly and and always keep us entertained. Mikelle's ears are made from egg cartons. Pretty creative! They made sure to use washable markers so I suppose it's alright if they write on themselves.

Crazy Weather

So, the weather has been kinda crazy lately. The first part of the week it was sooooo hot that I had to open the windows and turn on the fans to keep the house cool. Then by the middle of the week we had rain, snow, hail, then rain again, and now snow again. It's a good thing we didn't plant our garden yet. :) We are sad that it probably froze our fruit trees. I love the smell after the rain and it's so beautiful in the mountains. I got my ERGO baby carrier and I'm excited to try it out while I'm planting our garden. So far out of all the ones I've tried this one seems so comfortable and the easiest to use. I can't wait to see how it feels with an actual baby in it.

Matt's starting to feel a little better and is making some good progress. He's still nauseated (probably from the pain meds) and he still hurts a lot, but is getting around better. Here's a pic of the top part of his leg. We didn't take off the dressing on the bottom half. Kass thought it was cool and it grossed out Mikelle. Mikelle kept saying,"I wish Matt would have never broken his leg." I'm sure that he feels the same way.

What's new?

Matt had surgery on Friday to have the rod removed from his leg. Everything went really well :), but he's still in a lot of pain. :( I went to the doctor today and everything is looking good. Last week I was dilated to a 3 and this week I'm dilated to a 4. I'm hoping to make it through this week and maybe the next so that Matt will be feeling better.

Here's my belly at 36 weeks. Photos courtesy of Mikelle and Kassidee.
They love kissing and talking to Logan. He's going to be so spoiled when he actually arrives!

Kassidee lost her second tooth. Apparently the tooth fairy at Grandma's house is richer than the tooth fairy at our house. ($8 compared to $1-2) The girls keep saying how they wish they lose all their teeth at grandma's house. I secretly hope so too! LOL
Both girls came home with a cough so hopefully that clears up soon, but otherwise we're doing well.

Kassidee's program

We're going to try this again. I couldn't get Kassi's videos to work very well so we're trying again. It was so cute and funny I just have to share. I love Kassi's "deer in the headlights" look.

Kindergarten Program

Kassidee had her end of year program. She did really awesome on her part. She gets really nervous and shy in front of people. I love the look on her face during the program. It was a very cute program!

Kassidee's birthday

Kassidee turned 6, May 3rd. Stephanie called her name into KONY country and she won (out of 25 names) one of the birthday prizes (a cake and flowers.) We had her birthday party at the Pine View Park. It was a little breezy but we still had a great time! The kids played at the splash pad and on the playground and had a great time trying to break the pinata. I had really good intentions on trying to make our own pinata, but it didn't work out.
What I learned was:
1) It's easier to buy one. (That's what we ended up doing.)
2) They require a lot of drying time.(FYI: Cornstarch dries faster than flour.)
3) Be patient while they are drying. Don't stick them in the sun thinking the heat will help the drying time. Our balloon expanded and popped and then the walls caved in. Oops!
4) They are very messy.
5) If they don't work they still make a cheap doll bed. (Mikelle thought that was really neat.)
6) Did I mention that it's easier to buy one? I'm still determined to make one, but next time we'll just buy one.

After the party we went to Pizza Factory and had dinner with my family and Bryce and Annalee's family. Overall, it was a really fun day and Kassidee had a really great time!
